Ozone and Gin kite and Xenon board Demo Days, Haines Fair Weekend and Skagway Aug 6-7

I'll be up from Juneau to Haines for the Fair weekend with the Ozone and Gin kite demo fleet, and our Xenon demo boards.

All will be available for experienced kiters to try, and I'll bring trainers for new folks to practice with, including the Uno 2.5m inflatable trainer which flies off a regular bar and lineset so the only difference between it and a regular water kite is size.

I'll have last year's Ozone demo water kites for sale at great prices, too.

I'll coach folks who want to try water kiting; they will need their own good wet or drysuit with gloves, helmet, and booties; or they can share my one old drysuit and accessories. I'm hoping some of the local kiters will help teach new folks, too.

I arrive Haines late Thursday night and leave for Skagway late Sunday night; am anticipating doing demos midday to afternoon on the high half of the tide along Mud Bay Road, wind permitting.

I'm hoping to connect with local kiters for a fun weekend, promote kiting, and enjoy the Fair in the mornings and evenings.

In Skagway, I hope to check out and kite Dyea Monday, then go to our favoritel wind camp at Carcross, Yukon for the middle of the week, returning for Kite Demo's at Dyea on the 6th and 7th. It looks like mid to late afternoon and evening will be the top half of the tide that weekend, and again I'd like to make it a chance to kite with local people and promote kiting in general.

Thanks from Bill; photos in online gallery

Hi folks,

Hey thanks for the appreciation; and my thanks to James and all the local kiters who turned out and made it a great event!

I just finished editing the Haines photos and posting the best edit of them on my Water Kites & Sails Gallery here:

I'm burning a DVD right now with all the photos to send to James, and will e-mail the best ones to him for the site too.

Skagway kite demo's also went well. Dyea Flats is a great kite spot with reliable wind, and you can even kite it on low tide! Will post more as I get those photos edited. Oh yes, and Carcross had strong winds every day during the week, and great conditions too...

Thank you

Thanks for coming up and providing 3 solid days of stoke. It was great to see new kiters on the water!
