I am a new member of "Kiting Alaska". I was born and raised in Alaska and graduated from Dimond Highschool in 1998. 7 years ago I opened up a kiteboarding school in Los Barriles, Baja. www.exotikite.com Our season is Nov-April and we travel during the summertime and enjoy kiting in new locations.
My husband and I are hoping to come up to Alaska this summer. Is there a kiting season? Or is it hit or miss? We would be staying in Anchorage so would be kiting the arm mostly.

Summer Kiting
Hi Megan,
Summer is an awesome time to kite in Alaska. We have regular afternoon southerlies in the Haines area all summer long and I know that the folks up in Homer also get regular winds. Once you figure out where you are going, post a notice here and we can make sure you hook up with some AK kiters!
