Best Kite Size for South Central

Postby CarveAK on Fri Feb 12, 2010 10:36 pm

Hi All
I am new to kiting and can only afford 1 kite right now, I was wondering what is the best size for South Central if you can only afford 1 Kite. I am an expert level snowboarder and will be doing alot of snowkiting as well as some water kiting. I usually vacation in Hawaii during the winter and will be doing the water kiting there as well as around Southcentral. Any help will be appreciated.

I'd lurk around ebay or craigslist and pick up a used 9m Ozone Access. Foils are generally cheaper, and as we all know, water in Alaska is in its liquid state for only 3 days a year, so who needs an LEI?

See you out there...

I agree with unfrozencaveman lawyer about the size. Go with a 9M, but don't discount LEIs- they work on both the snow and the water, whereas the foil doesn't work on the water. My first year I started with a Waroo 9M and found it very very versatile.
